Exploring Vietnam

There is more to Vietnam than just Mui Ne and kitesurfing, and if you have the time then we’re very happy to organise a trip for you to experience the many different flavours of Vietnam.

The chances are that Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is your arrival city in Vietnam, and we recommend a night or two in Saigon if you have the time. Check out a few of the interesting attractions, eat in some of the excellent restaurants here, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. We have a couple of really good accommodation options for Saigon, which we're happy to book up for you - consider Ma Maison Boutique Hotel, or for the more budget-concious traveller, Gia Vien Hotel.

The Mekong Delta is very accessible from Saigon, and a fascinating place to experience Vietnamese rural life and great scenery around the waterways of the greatest of south-east Asia’s rivers, bursting with colour and life. Many people take an organised bus tour through the Mekong Delta, but we recommend a two or three night stay at the Mekong Lodge in the heart of the province to get the best out of it – it’s one of our favourite spots in the whole of South Vietnam, providing a great all-inclusive package of accommodation, (great) food and activities in the area.

If you want a break from the heat of Mui Ne, then a trip to Dalat in the Highlands, with cool temperatures and dramatic mountain scenery is a great option. We can arrange a tour from Mui Ne to Dalat, either by car or jeep, with a knowledgeable guide to help you experience the local Vietnamese culture and show you some great countryside – we have a great value homestay in Dalat we like to use, as well as a fabulous upmarket option with individual luxurious villa-style rooms and real fireplaces.

The Cat Tien National park is also accessible from Mui Ne, and we’re happy to arrange a guided trip and a night or two in one of the lodges there to experience the diverse fauna and flora as well as the beautiful rural scenery of the park.

We’re very happy to organise a tour encompassing any or all of the above options, with or without a stay in Mui Ne for some kitesurfing –contact us with your dates, and we’ll put together a rich and varied Vietnamese experience for you.
